Towards the Search for the Standard Model Higgs boson produced in Vector Boson Fusion
and decaying into a tau pair in CMS with 1 inverse femtobarn: tau identification studies
The Standard Model Higgs boson produced in vector boson fusion and decaying to a pair of leptons is an important channel in the search of the Higgs boson in the mass range between 115 and 145 GeV. A selection strategy for the +-jet final state is presented. Some of the analysis methods that will be used to control the systematic uncertainties in the early searches at low luminosity of the order of 1 fb are also described.
