Towards the Search for the Standard Model Higgs boson produced in Vector Boson Fusion and decaying into a tau pair in CMS with 1 inverse femtobarn: tau identification studies

The Standard Model Higgs boson produced in vector boson fusion and decaying to a pair of τ\tau leptons is an important channel in the search of the Higgs boson in the mass range between 115 and 145 GeV. A selection strategy for the ττνν\tau \tau \rightarrow \ell \nu \nu+τ\tau-jet ν\nu final state is presented. Some of the analysis methods that will be used to control the systematic uncertainties in the early searches at low luminosity of the order of 1 fb1^{-1} are also described.
