The Standard Model Higgs boson produced in vector boson fusion and decaying to a pair of $\tau$ leptons is an important channel in the search of the Higgs boson in the mass range between $\simeq$ 115 and 145 GeV/$c^2$. A selection strategy for the $\tau \tau \rightarrow \ell \nu \nu$+$\tau_{\rm had} \nu$ final state is presented as well as an expected upper limit on the signal cross section with 1 fb$^{-1}$.
