First results on Higgs to WW at \sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}

The first results on the standard model Higgs boson decaying to a W-boson pair at \sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV} at the LHC are reported. The event sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 2.3 \pm 0.1~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}, collected by the CMS detector in 2015. The W+W\mathrm{W}^+\mathrm{W}^- candidates are selected in events with an oppositely charged eμ\mathrm{e}\mu pair and large missing transverse momentum in association with up to one jet. The observed (expected) significance for the SM Higgs boson with a mass of 125~\mathrm{GeV} is 0.7σ0.7\sigma (2.0σ2.0\sigma), corresponding to an observed cross section times branching ratio of 0.3±0.50.3 \pm 0.5 times the standard model prediction.
