Search for the Higgs Boson in the Diphoton Channel with the ATLAS Detector using 209 pb-1 of 7 TeV Data taken in 2011
This note presents the result of a search for a Higgs boson decaying into a pair of photons in pp collision data collected in 2011 with the ATLAS detector at a centre-of-mass energy of sqrt(s)=7 TeV. In the 209 pb-1 of data analysed no statistically significant excess is observed. A 95% CL exclusion limit on the production cross section of a Higgs boson decaying into two photons relative to the Standard Model cross section is given.
