Search for neutral Higgs bosons of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model in pp collisions at s\sqrt{s} = 8 TeV with the ATLAS detector

A search for the neutral Higgs bosons predicted by the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) is reported. The analysis is performed on data from proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 8TeV collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The sample was collected in 2012 and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.5-20.3 fba^ˆ’1^{−1} Higgs bosons decays into oppositely-charged τ\tau lepton pairs are considered for final states. No significant excess over the expected background is observed and exclusion limits at the 95\% confidence level are derived for the production cross section of a scalar field as a function of its mass, and for h/H/A production in the MSSM as a function of the parameters mAm_A and tanβ\tan\beta.
